All you eat in Japan is sushi, right?

There are many types of Japanese cuisine, not just sushi.

After taking a bus from Tokyo's Narita airport to our first stop in Nikko,  we checked into our rooms and met for dinner. We went to a local restaurant specializing in ramen. It was hot and delicious and just the thing on a cool, rainy night.
About halfway through, I couldn't wait to dig in!

Another fun way to experience Japan is through vending machines and convenience store snacks. I play a game I call vending machine roulette, where I pick a random item to try.

For the bus ride to Nikko, I grabbed these from a convenience store.

Lime Fanta and pepperoni pizza flavored chip straws.  Both weren't bad, but not so amazing I'd choose them again over trying something new.

A new day and new vending machines await!
