Bangkok: Chatuchak Weekend Market

Before leaving Bangkok,  three of us headed out for one last excursion, to Chatuchak Weekend Market. Holy crap, this place is huge! It covers 35 acres and has over 5000 stalls.

The market is crowded with people walking down narrow aisles between stalls selling anything you can imagine. There was a lot of repetition, but not as much as one might expect. I took photos outside the main section, because it was too crowded and I was too engrossed when I got fully inside.

It seems like a massive labyrinth, but the market is actually well organized. There are 27 sections, and each section has aisles which are numbered. There are maps that advise what can be found in which section.

One could easily spend a whole day there wandering around, buying anything you could possibly imagine!
