Flew from Tokyo to Bangkok via Hong Kong.

My flight between HKG and BKK was delayed, so I arrived an hour or so later than anticipated. I took the airport train into the city then switched to the subway (MRT) which was a pretty easy transfer, even though they aren't actually linked, there were plenty of signs pointing the way. My hotel was at the end of the MRT line. I could see it from where I exited the station, so it was easy to ignore all of the people and taxi drivers offering to "help" me.
I experienced my first time crossing Bangkok streets, which can be a little terrifying. The trick is to just walk out, slowly and at a constant speed, so drivers can anticipate where you will be so they don't kill you. This is good practice for Hanoi, which I heard is so much worse.
My room is pretty sweet for $34 a night, though the lack of a window makes it easy to lie in bed all morning.
There is a nice outside space off of the lobby to lounge or have a drink.
And the 12th floor views are pretty sweet.
