I got us there and back

I admit it, I was a little nervous about leaving the group and traveling with another non-Japanese speaker. It's not the easiest language to decipher.  There is a decent amount of English around, I did a lot of research, I'd been following Frank around for 3 weeks and I had my notes.

We took a flight from Tokyo Haneda to Hiroshima. Then the bus from Hiroshima Airport to Hiroshima Station (Hiroshima Eki!)

Figured out which train to get on.

And got off at the right stop for the ferry terminal.

Took the ferry

And ended up on Miyajima!

Spent the night on the island and headed back to Hiroshima the next afternoon. The water was choppy due to the typhoon.

Despite a few typhoon related issues that were beyond our control, my research and notes got us where we needed to be for the next few days. Whew!
